Every values bright and early I turn on my Oreck vacuum the odor is terrible. I have tried putting baking soda in the vacuum bag,but it does not domestics. Can anyone help me.

I have an oreck erect vacuum cleaner. I've accidently put a small rip/hole in the outer cloth bag. How can I fix it? Thanks in prepay.
How about using Immerse/Duct tape? There wouldn't be any stitching in the fabric, and therefore, no new holes.
If we can fix car fenders with it, why shouldn't we be capable to repair vacuum cleaner bags with it?
