Most often the manufacturer has a list of location on their site. You could also try the store you purchased it at or the town kitchen or hardware store-good luck!

Does anyone know where to find an instruction manual for a pressure canner from National Pressure Cooker Co?

the only other markings on the canner is EAU CLAIRE WIS NO 7A and on the bottom half there are the numbers 0048 600. I have searched the web and the only subject i found was gopresto instructions but not sure if they are the right ones. Would understand

Canning always makes me nervous after old mishap
Our garden is not doing well at all. Bruce has replanted and watered, but still it has not responded. He had an excellent crop of red skin potatoes, but there is nothing on the horizon. On the other hand, my daughter Carrie and Mark's garden is doing pretty good. They picked about two buckets of green beans this past week, so I told her I would help her out by canning some of them. Canning always makes me a little nervous, but I think they are better that way, so I buckled up and did it. One summer when my children were young, my sister Bertie and her two boys were visiting from Tennessee for a couple of weeks and on this particular day, Jim Cathey and I think Bob Bruce were all at our house playing and I had beans to can with a houseful of children. The canner I was using came from my great aunt Bertie Baldwin. It so happened that the children were all in the house playing and Bertie and I were sitting at the kitchen table talking while I was keeping an eye on the pressure guage to be sure it stayed at the correct pressure. All of a sudden we all heard an explosion scaring everybody to death. Children started screaming and running out of both the front and back doors. I jumped up and managed to cut the stove eye off and slide the canner off of it. Bruce was down at the shop below the house working and he looked up to see all these children running and screaming into the yard. He said he thought it had been a murder inside. He jumped in his truck to come up and see what in the world had happened. After he surveyed the situation, he found out that the rubber gasket on the canner had probably gotten old and brittle and just didn't do its job and it had popped out, thus creating the explosion sending steam spewing out. All of the children remember it very vivdly to this day. Jim Cathey remembers he went running out with a sandwich in his hand. Others say they were scarred for life. Bruce replaced the gasket and I still use the canner to this day, but no wonder I still get a little nervous when canning. I tell you the truth....it is a wonder I have made it. I will never live that down.
