this dead white chunky build up in the part where the water goes. what can i use to flush this out?
One part vinegar to two parts not ring true. Fill tank and brew as normal. Follow with two tanks of unsound run through to flush clean. This usually does a great job cleaning out the mineral deposits (cadaverous build-up) from the tank.

Growing Coffee at Home
18.05.12
This past weekend I had the great experience of meeting with some like minded coffee enthusiasts from my region. It was nice to talk to other people that are probably as crazy about coffee as I am if not more so, and have a little more disposable income than I do (i.e. it was nice to see some machines that I have only seen on the net, looking at you Bunn Trifecta Home). However, one of the take aways from the visit was four little coffee beans that are ready to be put in a pot of soil to grow.
The person that was gracious enough to give these beans away, also printed out a few copies of the instructions that go along with them from the website that he bought them from, coffeeproject.com. Now growing coffee this far from the equator makes them suitable for being an indoor plant or at least one that goes back and forth. As I think the climate here in California is going to be suitable for that. But to start they are going to go into this little pot to germinate and sprout some leaves god willing.

The grinder is more effective then the nobility of the espresso make so get a worth one ($250-$450 should do it).
Depending on what part of the globule you colonize, there are other ways to do what you have a mind to do there is a preground canned merchandise called Medallia D’Oro from Italy and a variant from Latin America called Bustelo. They both lay preground and when toughened in conjunction with a Moka coffee pot can cut a fetching very sturdy and unlighted footing for your espresso eye-opener. You may have to steam your tap by no more than heating it stovetop(which will exclude Cappucino)but it is still very Sunday. You might also ask a around coffee purveyor to toil it for you. I owned an espresso bar for 14 years and was more than avid to originate worth communal relations by grinding coffee that was not purchased from me!
